Michael Vaynman, born in St Petersburg in December 1974, moved to Australia as a refugee during the Cold War. His early exposure to classical sculpture and Renaissance art during his transit through Europe and a stay in Italy deeply influenced his artistic sensibilities. A professional artist since 2001, Vaynman specializes in figurative and abstract bronze and stainless steel sculptures, with a focus on achieving aesthetic perfection in line and form. His works, including pieces like Hope, Up, Up and Away, Creation of Man, and Death of a Star, explore the Sublime, while his sculptures have been featured in the film Mao’s Last Dancer (2008). Vaynman also oversees the entire process of his sculptures, from casting to patination, ensuring each piece is a personal expression of his vision. LIMITED EDITION OF 15.
