Founded by Alesia Sirokina in 2020, Square in Circle creates lighting designs that fuse geometric precision with the fluidity of movement. Influenced by dance - especially Oskar Schlemmer’s 1922 Bauhaus ballet - Sirokina’s work began with the signature ‘Dance of Geometry’ and continues to explore themes of symmetry, asymmetry, flatness, and depth. Using a minimal palette of shapes and materials, each piece feels both refined and dynamic, subtly shifting in relation to the viewer. Circles within circles, the Two Cylinders Floor Lamp brings together a variety of circular forms, presented in two-tone metal. The flat disc of the base is echoed in the shape of the shades above, and the solid cylindrical form, in brushed grey metal, perfectly encases the brushed brass rod at the heart of the design.
