RUDA STUDIO is artisans of unique household items from Odesa, Ukraine. Their objects are inspired by natural materials and antique artisan techniques. Each product has its function, but more resembles an object of art that touches the soul and pushes for reflection and rethinking of cultural heritage. A tapestry that represents power and glory of Ukrainian earth. We’ve been exploring our past to recover Ukrainian craft techniques and bring back protection of the environment. First of all, the wall tapestry Nenka (Mamma) is a symbol of fertility, guardian of a home and an object of power. The tapestry is hand made and illustrates the essential resources of our land. The whole concept of the tapestry is based on the parallels between the natural resources and the materials of our product. Ten different materials are used in the work and he nature echoes in each of them. We’ve gathered everything that is inherent in our land and knit them together. Available in all standard finishes with custom materials and sizing available upon request.
