Lit from above and below, the Cissbury Pendant is a celebration of light, of pure organic curves and of hand sculpted texture. Dramatic uplighting from the hidden light source inside the bowl is complemented by subtle highlighting of the central column as it pierces the bowl. The hand sculpted Lucie sconce is both elegant and modern in its simplicity, and classical in its sculptural outline. In sculpting the piece, Martin has paid particular attention to the surface marks and texture of the gently graduated bowl shape, and the smaller foot beneath. The shape of the textured bowl uplighter is inspired by the work of iconic Modernist potter, Lucie Rie, in its combination of simple form and hand textured decoration. Available in all standard finishes with custom materials and sizing available upon request.
