Founded by Alesia Sirokina in 2020, Square in Circle creates lighting designs that fuse geometric precision with the fluidity of movement. Influenced by dance - especially Oskar Schlemmer’s 1922 Bauhaus ballet - Sirokina’s work began with the signature ‘Dance of Geometry’ and continues to explore themes of symmetry, asymmetry, flatness, and depth. Using a minimal palette of shapes and materials, each piece feels both refined and dynamic, subtly shifting in relation to the viewer. Inspired by the shapes and composition of the El Lizitsky poster ‘Beat the Whites with Red Wedge’, the Cut Triangle Table Lamp has a distinctive triangular base that pierces through the cylindrical lampshade to emerge once again at the other end.
