Mattia Bonetti is a Paris-based artist and designer known for his whimsical, surreal approach that blurs the line between art and furniture. Born in Lugano, Switzerland, he began in textile design before evolving into furniture through experimental photography and handcrafted miniature interiors. In partnership with Elizabeth Garouste, he pioneered a distinctive neo-Baroque style, gaining recognition through projects like Le Palace. Bonetti’s work - defined by freehand sketches and luxurious materials such as bronze, marble, and rock crystal - remains highly individual, imaginative, and technologically innovative, with pieces held in major collections including the Centre Pompidou and the Victoria and Albert Museum. 2017.
