Jan Garncarek, specialising in design and producing lamps, tables, chairs and decorative objects with precious materials and refined details. His work focuses on two intentions - the preservation of the testimony of his home culture before the war, and an interdisciplinary search for inspiration and new solutions in functional art. The concrete table legs are architectural elements salvaged from the designer’s family home, which was dismantled during the renovation of the historic building. These pieces, once integral to the house, have been repurposed to create a unique, functional work of art. The designer holds a deep connection to the pre-war fabric of the places he grew up, cherishing their histor- ical value. By giving these relics new purpose, he ensures that the old world does not fade but instead acquires greater significance.
