Marāu draws inspiration from Anatolia - a land of rich culture, art, and craftsmanship. Founded by artisans born and raised in this region, Marāu aims to revive the forgotten beauty of ancient Anatolian crafts and carry their legacy into the future. Each piece reflects centuries-old techniques - from silk weaving in Hatay to copperwork in Antep and stone carving in Mardin. Through every creation, Marāu shares the story of Anatolia’s cultural heritage, carrying its millennia-old artistry and values into the modern world. Marāu aimed to design an accessory collection that reflects the aesthetic sensibility of the Hittite civilization and modernized versions of the traditional crafts they widely used. Geometric patterns such as circles, spirals, and triangles are frequently incorporated into the accessories. These designs were not merely decorative but were regarded as symbols representing cosmic order and the universe.
