Founded by Alesia Sirokina in 2020, Square in Circle creates lighting designs that fuse geometric precision with the fluidity of movement. Influenced by dance - especially Oskar Schlemmer’s 1922 Bauhaus ballet - Sirokina’s work began with the signature ‘Dance of Geometry’ and continues to explore themes of symmetry, asymmetry, flatness, and depth. Using a minimal palette of shapes and materials, each piece feels both refined and dynamic, subtly shifting in relation to the viewer. Recalling skyscrapers and sci-fi cityscapes, the Disc and Ball Floor Lamp has a simple central structure, which is brought to life by the horizontal disc-shaped shade. Featuring two glass faces, the disc is edged with a thick band of brushed brass, which catches the light - glinting as one moves around the piece.
