LE CANN
Raphaëlle Robert and Guillaume Fantin, interior designers and architects, combined their talents to form the Le Cann duo. The passion for the purity of lines is in the DNA of the duo which seals their artistic encounter at the Ecole Bleue. Raphaëlle and Guillaume sharpen their eyes in Parisian agencies: Marie Deroudilhe and Thierry Lemaire for one, Andrée Putman and Joseph Dirand for the other. By designing residences, shops and hotels, they laid the groundwork for the Le Cann style.
The duo's taste for design is reflected in the primacy given to clean lines and the play of light that highlights volumes. Like the interior designers of the 1930s, Le Cann enhances the art of detail by designing even the smallest objects so that they harmonize with the space and by mobilizing the richness of materials and craftsmanship.
Convinced that the simplicity of form is a guarantee of timelessness, Guillaume and Raphaëlle create minimal atmospheres before energizing them with references borrowed from the history of architecture and design as well as from the plastic and audiovisual arts. Through this dialogue between the arts and eras, the Le Cann duo breathes warmth and emotion into the sobriety of their creations.
